I was just wondering if anybody had a diagram and routing information for the heater and A/C vacuum hoses. I have a 1973 F100 with stock 302 and factory A/C. I heard a vacuum leak when my heater/ A/C is operating so I tore into the dash dehind the control panel and found several of the vacuum lines disconnected. They are black with with a different colored tracer for each one. Does anybody know the coorect hook-up for both ends of these lines? Thanks for your help.
Jbird,
I'm afraid what you are looking for is only available in the original Ford shop manual.
Motorhaven sells the Helm Ford Original shop manual in CDRom form.
It is a great value at $50.00 .
It has what you are looking for and Much Much more.
Due to Copyright infringement I cannot reproduce the diagrams.
I have a complete unit taken out of a 78, I was careful to reattach the hoses after removal for fear of losing the very info you are seeking. If I remember right, the 74 I looked at in the bone yard I was at, they were similar. I can get pics if this might help.
I thought jbird was referring to the hoses under the dash that control the dash pots and such. Once you get to the only hose that goes through the fire wall is where I cut the hose. It had a 400 in it and the routing for emissions is obviously different than my 390.
