What's it called?

Can someone please tell me the proper name for the part directly above the grill where the letters go (except 61) and trunsignals went on the 65-66s? I have never been able to get the correct name and it makes it dificult when trying to decribe parts to a wrecker.

Thanx, JJ

I am looking for a 61-64 style. But trying to describe thepart to wreckers is very difficult when you do not know the name. I am sure I will have more luck now. Why?

Figure 5, page 17-8, of the 1964 Ford Truck 100-350 Series Shop Manual calls it a "Grille Upper Panel".

since you are dealing with wreckers and not ford parts men, ask for a header panel or grille header. that is what the aftermarket interchange manuals call them. hawkrod

JJ tell the wrecker guys you're looking for the "upper valence" for your truck.

I've got 3 here, but they're 65, 65, and 66. I don't know if they'd fit 64 or not.
