Tailgate chain alernative?
Does anyone know of a good alternative to using tailgate chains on the back of the box? I hate the idea of putting these chains, even with the rubber sleeve over them, up against my new tailgate and paint job on my 65 4X4. I have come up with a number of ideas of how to latch it on the inside, but its the supporting it horizontal and up off the bumper that has me baffled. I have considered using the vinyl coated cables as on the newer trucks but would be nice to hear some feedback from someone that has actually done it. Thanks for all the help now and in the past.
