Lightning Conversion? Differences in F150 and Lightning?
I currently own an 87 Ranger (work truck), and an 87 mustang GT~
PICS ARE HERE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED~~ http://www.cardomain.com/member_pag...?page_id=320213
anyhow, i was thinking of financing a newer Lightning, but i am starting to see that the supercharged SVT dream truck of mine, is possibly out of my price range! ALso, i would prefer an ext. cab vs. the standard!
My question is, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN the LIGHTNING and the F150?
I was thinking maybe it would be easier for me to just buy an F150 and Supercharge it w/ the eaton just like the lightning! What else would i need besides the supercharger to make a lightning replica?
Many of us have that problem; even if we have the money, the payload and seating limitations make it impractical. Unfortunately, just about everything in the drive train and suspension is changed in the Lightning. Many components are from the Diesel or Super Duty. And even if you just add an aftermarket supercharger you'll probably spend $3000. You're probably better off if you can find a good used Lightning..
Well, ive already applied for the loan on a 2000 L w/ 30,000 miles on it! Ill see what they say? If the loan is accepted, ill have to see what the payments are on it?
If not, it might just have to wait!
