Not sure if I am making the Nats or not. It's a bit of a haul for me. I'd like to. We'll see what the spring time brings and if the old Mack is up to the trip. Okie is quite aways from me.
The '69 had like 1.9 60ft's. It was back in '94 when I ran it last. I have a video of it...it has hoppin' and spinnin' like crazy. I wish I had a place to post the video, I have a new program for my laptop that can make/edit VHS. Pretty cool. You can then burn a CD. Just don't have a DVD burner yet.
Just for comparison, the wagon goes 1.55 60ft. It weighs in at 3920 lbs. The 69 was right at 4000 lbs.
It's ready for the 1/8 mile this spring so we'll see:
393 stroker 500HP
forged pistons / h-beam rods
Victor Sr. alum heads
10:8 comp
Hooker super comps
4 spd toploader
4.57 locker
coil over rear / ladder bar (leafs are gone!)
With drag slicks mounted, it hooks hard.
My wife want ride with me anymore cruising around town - I play with anyone.
My 1971 f-100 swb is almost ready for the track and the day i get it done then i am going to take it down the local dtag track. What time do u guys think i could get here is what i got:
87' model 351w HO 4v
Wiend Stealth aluminum intake
? brand shorty headers
oversized RV cam
3:50 gears
c-6 auto transmission
I ran a 14.6 in my lifted F-100 SB. I can blow most of those riceers away with it. I like pissing them off....especially when you get 2 of them next ot you going to race each other and you rev up and take off with them.... and leave them in the dust. Something about me spending under $15k on my whole truck compared to there $30k and mine still being faster.
