'88 F350 5.8 Miss at idle in gear

I have '88 F350 w/ 5.8L/auto(former SWB telephone)- am experiencing rough idle-have new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, new reman injectors, idle control motor, cat. convertor and muffler-also have red glow to exhuast manifolds(see em in the dark)- engine smooths out just above idle and does not miss in park or neutral- anyone got an idea? thanks

Lightbulb rough idle and red glow

Try checking the throttle body blades. They could be bent or warped. I have a Camaro that is doing the same thing but we are getting a new tb through the mail.
holla!

If the manifold is red then you are running lean.

There is a similair thread going on right now about the glowing headers.

Everyone over there is saying it is the timing, Could be in your case also!

hey i really appreciate the feedback. i attempted a timing adjust- there are no marks on harmonic balancer - was told there is not a way to time- the computer is supposed to do it- on the lean subject how does one reconcile that problem? thanks
