Tim: reason I ask about how easy to install is because I posted a question of the ease of install for keyless entry and was told it was a cinch when it turned out to be a total fiasco (had to call a stereo guru in). I hate to buy a gage only to discover it's a pain in the *ss install.
the hardest part - pardon the pun - will be drilling the exhaust downpipe or manifold...
but it's not THAT hard from the bottom ...
next in order of "hard" will be the mounting of the gauge,
then the "work" of running the wires...
not impossible, but doable...
and I would not even consider tackling the keyless entry...
Everythings easy the second time you've done it...
but why do it if someone will do it cheaply for you ???
I COULD have installed my turbo back, but it was a lot more fun to pay someone < $100 to do it and I could spend the rest of the time driving around with my new toy !

I rarely speak for someone else, but let me tell you that these guys that are here in this post…….right now, will help...they cannot drill the hole or bolt the part, but they will give you damn good advise.
Both are intelligent and honest. You will get all your questions answered.
I have a tremendous respect for many within the 6.0 area, and they all help.

It took me 3 hours. The hardest was getting the factory heat shield off. There was plenty of room to drill the downpipe and install the clamp. I already had the gage pod made from 2" plastice pipe, painted and ready to stick on the top of the dash with double back tape.
Well, if I do it myself, I'll take some pictures along the way. I'm trying to decide on an exhaust. I'd like something that isn't too loud.. so any suggestions there would be helpful. Also, I noticed two gauges, a pre and a post turbo. Which did you guys install?

As I said... I went from stock, to straight pipe, to the turbo back...
the straight pipe was TOO loud on long trips - of which I take a lot!
brand name - I don't know... I got it locally as a closeout from Quadzilla for about what you'd give for the motorhaven if u compare apples and apples !!!
but I think they are all gone, so JUMP on the motorhaven group buy !
Mine looks like a lot of the other pictures I've seen and is not loud at all inside the truck! I like a LITTLE rumble, but the engine does enough of that for me !
the muffler is a cylinder about 2 foot long, about 12 inches ? in diameter and 4 inches open view thru the inside... the muffler has to be pointing the right way so the exhaust pulses will be caught by the directed louvers inside, but other than that (and the difficult downpipe removal) it's pretty straight forward...
it definetly perked up the Ex's performance and even with the cat I hear the turbo whistle which I like !
The temp redline is different with a pre verses a post so you can tell with a quick glance if its too hot.
That may be true for your gauges but not mine. I run Autometer Phantoms. They sell the same Pyro for pre and post...You can see my gauges on my Club FTE web site. There is no redline.....
Please bare with me I know very little about trucks ,I have had a coolant leak and the dealer changed the overflow tank,I have it now again. Can it be do to to much preasure from the motor due to running the Predator on 65 hp..please advise.
