emrgency brake lockup
Park my F100 in front of the garage and it has a slight incline. Went out today to go to the store and found the emergency brake locked up. Linkage(s) are all connected from the brake handle all the way through the drums. Pulled it back up in the driveway and the rear right tire left some rubber on the concrete driving it up. I don't know which rear wheel drives either. Anybody have this problem?
I had set the emergency brake when I parked it before going out today and it seemed to happen when I released the brake.
Would be grateful for any info.
Thanks, Tom
I guess it is safe to assume the rear right is the drive wheel. I should then be able to just jack up the rear left, on an uphill incline with blocks, and see if the drum will come off. I'll let you know what I find and again thanks so much.

PS: amazingly enough I am in So. Calif. by the ocean and it has gotten down to 32 some nights but only for an hour or two and then 68-70 during the day.
If you can't get the drum off, there is a hole in the bottom of the backplate where you can get to the adjuster. Using 3 hands and 2 screw drivers you can back it off and release the tension of the brake shoe on the drum. (use one to push the keeper away from the star wheel and use the second to back off the star)
If that makes no sense, a good repair manual should show it.
I wish our temp would get UP to 32*
