Hi guys,
Im glad i found this place. Anyway my buddy has an 88 F150 Lariat ex cab 8'bed 4x4. He blew his transmission to the point of replacement. He said it has a mazda transmission with the code E8TA-CA on it. He has the 302 and its a manual. He just wants to replace it cheap/quality ASAP.

Any help appreciated.

Somethin about Ford trans's. My work buddy's 2000 Ranger broke at 20k and now his broke.

OK thats good news but is there an easier model to remember while searching? I found some that were C4 or something on ebay.

I know jeeps use AX-5 AX15 AW4 etc.. not E8TA-CA.

 

It's just a mazda M5OD...also called an M5R2 i believe.

 

C4 is an automatic; go with Mustang's suggestion.
