I said T-I-P-S. As in, exhaust tips. (Yeti...put yer shirt back on!)
I would like to put an exhaust tip on my truck so that someone would actually know that my exhaust is modified and that doesn't have a hole in it as the reason it is so loud cool sounding.
I am undecided as to what I want it to look like. I would like to see others. I saw a dual outlet, slash-cut (horizontally cut, not vertically cut) chromed tip but cannot remember where.
Also, how does an exhaust tip change the sound. Is there a rule of thumb to follow? FWIW, I would like to have a larger than stock opening.
monsta... glad you clarified that... i just took a pic of my chest for your viewing pleasure... but then realized what you wantted.... if you look in my gallery under accessories you will see mine... not exactly wnat your looking for (straight turn down), but another option none the less (i know, i know... not for you and the station wagon... but someone else might be interested).
Hey monsta, how ya been.I have the 4in slash cut with rolled ends. They make the sound a little deeper. Not bad imop.If you have access to a to a 4in plain old pipe about 18in long, just stick it over your factory tailpipe and rev it up so you will have a idea of what it will sound like.By the way,go with stainless.(check out my pics)The steel rot from inside out.Good luck.
All I ever see is CHROME, so I wanted something different.
Had some 4" pipe left over from the changeout, so I cut a custom tip, put a couple coats of flat black on it, and attached it with a 4" stainless band clamp.
Looks cool to me.
Monsta...I have 4 inch Chrome tips..1 on each side..not down turned...they sound and look awesome...you just have to keep them clean with a soft cloth.
