[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Aug-02 AT 00:12 AM (EST)]That's a damn Hyundai for crying out loud. That pics is quite funny though Abendx. Hyundai with Daytons, shopping cart wing, oh and did I mention it's a Hyundai? Actually, you can throw another 4" tip on your hitch receiver, I'm sure someone makes an adapter. All kidding aside, you guys ever heard a turbocharged motor with no exhaust or downpipe? Loud and cool! You really don't need an exhaust, downpipe--yes, exhaust--no.
I've not figured out how to cut and paste a copy of a .jpg into this. I ordered mine from Summit Racing. It is part # 690055 and is a slant cut rolled tip stainless tip. 3" in and 3 1/2" out. Slid right over stock pipe and had someone weld it on. Didn't really notice a change in sound. Thinking about a Flowmaster 70, but waiting to hear a clip. If you want I can e mail you a pic of it on my truck. I think Summit has a pic on their site when you pull up the number.
I have a 5'' turn-down from a freightliner big rig.
Just cut down the stock exhaust tip and welded it from their.
This is just a time-being thing untill i get a full 5'' exhaust.
Pics will be on the way soon....
It's the Gibson Dual Sport. $328 from Summit. Comes with the stainless tips. 3" in, 2.5 out x2. Install was a piece of cake, did it laying on my back on the driveway. The only clearance issue is with one of the heatshield brackets/bolts ... just bend the bracket a little . Good instructions included in the kit. I took off a Flowmaster 40 DF with an 8" turn-down, due to a loss of bottom end and being too loud. Got that torque back + some.
It's SUPER quiet on the inside, nice deep growl outside. Let me know if you need any other info.

Hey! I haven't noticed any "loss of bottom end" with my FM 40 DF. The truck doesn't have an excess of torque off the line (it never did)but once those rpms get a little past 2k, look out!
Hey Nafzimo...I'm with you...past 2k things really get going...and the sound continues to be awesome...hey, different strokes for different folks....ok...ooppsss..I know I shouldn't have said that...especially on this post...(down gentlemen!!!) When will I learn.....
Lisa
I like the dual out look but have no need for a new muffler (I, too, felt no loss at the bottom) or tailpipe or the need to spend $328 right now (saving for the SCMT!)
Soooooooooooo, does anyone know where to get a tip that resembles Okie DRN's dual outs? That's what I want...well....that, and to hear more from vinny8...
Monsta ! what is your pipe size (nothing personal I know this thread )could explode ) vinny8 is nicer than the ones you have in your closet''''
Borla and gibson sell the tips seperate ,you problably already know that
they don't have a 3" inlet ,thats what your looking for huh!
Glad to hear you guys didn't experience the same thing I did (torque loss), but I'm tellin' ya, as soon as I drove off I noticed it big time. It was even more noticable when I pulled the trailer.
dude... keep that kind of talk out of here.... and i don't think monsta is that way.... we all know his type and the last pic i saw... they WON'T fit in any closet i have ever seen...
