Hey 79 Modifyed, send your e-mail address to my inbox or e-mail it to me and I will send you a download of the article I wrote on how to power steer a 71 F-100 4x4.I did this conversion on my 71 F-100 4x4 about three years ago and it is still going strong.Next month I am doing the same conversion on my daughters 76 F-100 4x4 short bed as I have collected all the appropriate parts .Good luck and have fun.

jval,if you have a donor truck thats half the battle. The power steering box off the 78 is what you need to send to Benchworks.I suggest you get the dana knuckled steering shaft he sells ,I put it in mine and love it as it it greasable and telescoping. As for the transfer case,I need to know which one is in the 78.I put an NP205 out of a 79 into my 71 F-100 4x4 with some modifications,it is a little more work than I thought but well worth the time.As far as the 6" lift all I can say is you will at least need a drop pitman arm .I have not done any lifting except lowering the spring towers one and one eight inch and going with heavy duty springs up front.Good Luck.
