good deal?
I,m looking at a 91 f-250hd, 5.8 out of a 96 f-250 with 68,000 miles, a4od that has 1500 miles on it with 96 and up update and shift kit for towing, standard cab, new tires, 10.5 with 4.10 gears, 148,000 miles on truck, I can get it for $2000. How will it tow a trailer with 6000#, jeep on trailer. Thank you. O and its 2 wheel drive.

I don't see where you can go wrong with that setup. If the truck is not a rust bucket, as all too many are unfortunately, the price is right also. I paid $4000 for mine in November because the body and bed were in great shape along with it being a 4x4.

I agree that the price is good, but who did all the work? I mean if this truck was built up in some guys garage, who knows what skeletons may be hiding in the closet. Still, I would think that if it runs and drives well it would be a deicent investment to say the least. All I'm really saying is, be very in tune with it during the test drive, and insist on a drive first. If all checks out, sounds like a pretty good deal.
