WE HAVE 3 NEW 6.0 DIESELS THAT WHEN WE HAVE THE OLD OIL TESTED THERE IS 5% FUEL IN THE OIL, FORD SAYS THERE IS NO SPEC FOR THIS. IF THE OIL LEVEL DOES NOT GO UP IT IS OK.
DOES ANY BODY KNOW OF A SPEC FOR THSI OR IF THIS IS EXCESSIVE.
I'VE BEEN TOLD BY THE SMARTEST MAN IN THE WORLD, MY BOSS, THAT IF THIS WAS A CAT DIESEL THEY WOULD SHUT IT DOWN AND REPAIR IT IMMEDIATLY.
Ask Ford if diesel is a suitable lubricant; I'll bet they'll tell you no. Then ask why its ok THIER product is poisoning itself. Start your paper trail ,document everything. When these trucks run ;they absolutely scream and when they get the bugs worked out it WILL be a world beater.
Diesels by nature will have fuel in the oil. During cold start up the rings have not expanded to a complete seal with the cylinder yet. I have no idea what the spec is, but just because there is fuel in the oil does not mean there is necessarily a problem.

According to Blackstone Labs, <.5% is the target for an engine already broken in. I've seen some report of around 2% for engines during break-in. 5% does seem high, especially if the engine is already broken in.
