Spark plug thread adapter

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a spark plug thread adapter to NPT or ? so I can hook up my air compressor into the spark plug hole? Is this what leak-down equiptment is all about?

Try checking with some of the tool guys like Snap On or Mac Tools.

Most parts stores carry the adapters.

Some of the more expensive compression testers come with a adapter in their kit .
snapon ,mac ,matco, .

Tool stores carry them too. I made my own from a spark plug and ran a pipe tap in the body after the insulator was removed. You can grind off the crimp on the top of the body that holds the insulator in.

Welding a Milton nipple to it works great if you add a 6" 1/4" NPT pipe nipple between the air nipple and the plug body. You then have a long-reach extension for air hold, compression guage, or blowdown guage for dirt cheap. That's also how I get adapters for small Japanese motorcyclr plugs.
