1948Thru1950 Accessories

I came across a list of 26 accessories/options for the 48-50 trucks. One of the items is a "Shaver" Has anyone ever come across one? All other items are things that you would expect to see on a truck.

I have never heard of a shaver, but would love to know where you found the list of accessories/options.

I received the book "Ford Pickup Trucks Development History and Restoration Guide" 1948-56 by Paul G. McLaughlin. It was published in 1986 by Motorbooks International. It has most of the outside dimension Spec sheets for these trucks plus lots of the old ads and B&W pictures of all the different models. Not much about restoration though. Yes, the shaver was available for 48-52 on all F-series trucks. It plugged into the lighter assy. below the ashtray. It is a super rare option that I have never seen. Most of the trucks were bought for work and did not have alot of options on them.
