Honestly, while I would like to have it back, it isn't that big of a deal for me.
Mostly the louder idle just bothers me in drive throughs and when firing up the truck in the morning before going to work or when in an RV park warming up before pulling out the trailer.
I didn't vote, don't want to skew your poll. My neighbor to the south has a late 03' Excursion with the 6.0L. It sounds like the pilot injection has been disabled, I can hear the clatter over my truck idling in the morning. My neighbor to the north of me has an 03' Dodge CTD and it is pretty quiet under the hood. I think the pilot injection is a good idea that needs a little more perfecting on the Fords. There's gotta be a Ford Executive reading these post and demanding a solution to fix the teething problems. In the mean time, I'll drive my Dmax til they prove the Ford works.
The pilot injection accounted for about 1/3 of the reason I bought this truck. So unless Ford wants to give me back 1/3 of the cash that I gave them, they dame well better find a way to give me my pilot injection back FORD NEEDS TO RECALL ALL C94 INJECTORS!!!!!

Doesn't really matter to me. I work around Diesel Fire Trucks all day long, so my truck is heaven compared to these monsters!! Mine does work, it's nice when your sitting in traffic, or a drive through...but even if it didn't work, I don't think it would change my overall opinion of the truck. This thing is a beast and I love every minute of her!!!
Pilot injection was part of the original package on my truck.
I paid for it and now I do not have it. If some one takes
something from you that is not their's, isn't that called stealing?
Stealing is against the law. Did Ford break the law by stealing?
I now longer have what I paid for! ! Ford took something
that I paid for and I want it back, or the cash. When they
flashed my truck in Oct, they did not tell me that my mpg
would drop and my truck would be louder. This is not what I
paid for. !
