Yup

Canada VIN trucks are not in Oasis (fords computer)

Funny how much truck has no recalls??

My truck was made, leased and bought from Canada, dealer changed the cluster to MPH.

So I would like to find a way to fix this also !

WoW, THAT SUCKS !!

If U look at that this link U can see all the recalls for our trucks:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/recalls.html

My truck shows none of those listed, I find that strange.

Unless I have perfect truck !! (not likely)

Morning folks...I am buying a '97 F150 XLT 4X4 Lariat this weekend.

If I take to my local stealership, can they look up my VIN and tell if it falls under any of the recalls and if any of the fixes have/have not been done?

If a required fix (or fixes) has not been done, do I have any recourse to get them done?

Any help is appreciated.

John a dealer can run what is called a Oasis computer check for open recalls and tells what recalls that have been done.

97 had lots of problems the first year, first year syndrome.

Good luck !

Thanks for the heads up on the Oasis check. I will make an appointment with the stealer after I have my wrenchhead go over the truck next week.
