non-starting Bronco
Ok, this one's a goodie. I'm hoping someone has run into this.
The Bronco in my sig has an electrical short. Any more than a couple days, and the battery's dead. It has been sitting for a couple weeks now. I tried to start it today, and the battery (as expected) was completely dead. Not even enough to light the interior lights. I tried to jump it off my F-150. It came alive when the cables were hooked up, but it still wouldn't turn over. I tried to crank it, and it just buzzed at me. I couldn't tell where the buzzing was coming from. It sounded like down low on the passenger side in the engine bay.
The lights dim considerably when it's trying to crank. Recently, I bought a new battery for it, had the starter tested, replaced the solenoid, and replaced the battery cables with 4 gauges cables.
I don't know what else to check - I've replaced anything that has anything to do with the starting system!
Any ideas?

The reason that he suggested that you pull the fuses one by one is that you could determine what circuitry the short is in, if you do have a short.
Also, coil, cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, distributor TFI module and a few others all can play a roll in the starting of your vehicle.
Keep us up to date.
Worse case, get a local mechanic to check it out for you.
