85 front end swap

has anyone swaped in a straight front (dana44)axel from a 78/79 F150/bronco into a 85 F150 4X4??My front end needs alot of work

and i can get a whole 78/79 Bronco cheap

Front suspension is the same from 80-96.

I have an 85 f-150 4x4 and a 78 or 79 bronco; can I swap the 44 from the bronco into the f-150??
Both have quad shock and all looks the same, I think it should be an easy swap. Has anyone ever done it??

Just do a search on the web for dana 44 and ttb, you'll be suprised how many people have done it.

ive just recently aquired a solid axle front end out of a 79 bronco and plan to swap in into my 82... Nothing ever just bolts right up, but it looks like itll be fun. a good website to check out is http://www.broncograveyard.com/produ...fabritech.html

itll give ya a pretty good i dea of what it consists of. ive heard it makes a hell of a difference, especially if your truck is lifted.
