To Tim Lamkin

Tim My truck was built on 03/03.

No major or should I say chronic/constant problems. I have had a couple of episodes with what they call dead pedal. Idle sometime becomes erratic while in park. My dealer has told me that the only way to fix these problems will be to have the latest flash.

Thanks
Lance

I purchased my truck in March and the assembly was during the 3rd week of Feb so the build of the motor was sometime before that.

The truck has 17,500 miles on it and the oil level has remained constant and the truck runs fine on the Oct. Flash and ran fine before the April Flash.

I'll be bringing it in for the recall to have the Dec. Flash / emissions thingy done and hopefully it will continue to perform fine.

The simpler the writing (posting) of “problem/odometer” reading………….the easier it will be to collate. Do not need many words. I must reduce all the date into a usable format; extra words will take more time to complete.

Just was mor common with the early build 6.0. Course the internet is more common now as well, so might just be we are hearing more now than in 98, or 95......

Between my spelling "injestors" and date recognition "10/15/03"
I may need some help. Actually Lariat it should have said 03/15/03 for my engine build date. Sorry.

I just got my report from Blackstone at 20,000 miles. Jan/03 build date. No problems, low wear factors, not fuel. I'm a happy boy. If Tim will tell me hw, I'll post the report.

I think you named them aptly; they seem to ingest them selves quiet often.

So far looks like 29,000 miles on Six Liter Fan's truck is best yet. I bet there is one out there with c94s with over a 150,000 miles on it. I hope!! Probably the first one off the assembly line and owner has never heard of this forum.

ok, just talked to a girl I know that live in north central Indiana, she has 33,000 miles on truck, it was the first 6.0L that the Elwood, Indiana Ford dealer sold. Has had 0 problems. Getting an average of 14city, 18hwy with an "x box 50-75-100" chip? Hope this helps

Being one of the higher milage 6.0 thought I would add some of my data...
As of my last tank of fuel on 1/5/2004...
Total miles 28138.2
Total Gallons of Fuel used- 1769.79
Total $$ of Fuel used- $2,940.84
Average $/Gal- 1.6513
MPG- 15.899

$ (Fuel Only)/Mile- $.105
$ (Maint Only)/Mile- $.008 (All Dealer- oil changes@~7500)
Highest MPG seen- 17.920 MPG (25 Gallon Fill up)
Worst MPG Seen- 13.858

All information is Calculated from Fuel Reciets and milage log- none from Truck computer. I maintain a spreadsheet. It is pretty interesting looking at the data. My one complaint of the 6.0 would be that my '02 7.3 got 1 more MPG then the 6.0 when comparing them over the first 20,000 miles. Fords claim that it is more Fuel efficent is BS to me.

Tim, would you like this same information in the Data collection thread?
