Can you or anyone explain the shifting 5 times? I notice the same thing and was wondering about it. I thought it was the converter locking up. I have only owned C6's with no OD for the last 20 yrs.

I've noticed what seems to be an extra shift as well, it definately doesn't feel like slippage. I thought it was pretty odd too. Anyone know what the heck is up?

It's just the torque convertor locking up, perfectly normal on our trucks.

torque converter will lock at around 43mph.

Check out the Tech Articles. there is an awesome one on how to fully change your tranny fluid yourself without too much hassle. Just did it. the instructions are perfect!

Here is an article written by a Ford Tech. He rebuilds tranny valve bodies for better shifting. His work is well known throughout the HD and Lighting crowd. Plenty of good responses about his work.
