They do serve a purpose and they do what they do well. My comment was not to detract from your wish. If you can get them, by all means Enjoy them! You will be the envy of everyone around.

I saw a tv show that put them on a truck and reviewed them. They said they really didnt see much difference between them and good set of mud tires.

Also there was one major downfall to these things, slow speed manuvering is almost nill. Those tracks absolutly have to be in motion for you to steer them, you can't have the truck not moving and steer them around. It got to the point where they had to have another truck pull them out because the driver stopped with a tree in front of him and he couldnt steer the truck around it at slow speeds.

See my post above--they now have steering assist. They say you can turn them while sitting still, with one hand, IF you go check them out on the website and read about them and even watch the videos. I have been through the site a lot today...obviously...and have checked almost every link there. From wht I have seen, they have evidently made lots of improvements over their earlier versions.

And no--I'm not a Mattracks salesman, but I wish I was.

alright hotshot, i just read your earlier posts and you seem a little TOO enthusiastic about these things. They're not the cure-all off roading ultimate weapon you're making them out to be. Even that show i wast talking about said they weren't THAT impressive (i think it was that silly trucks show). In loose soil where a large contact patch is usefull they did pretty good, but in most other areas they weren't much different than a tire.

But its your cash man do whatever you want. If you were just going to buy them anyway, why post about it?

They rock in snow. That's where they beat tires hands down. And maybe swamps. I believe the load rating is good. Like good enough to haul all your gear and what not. Not sure on exact LBs. If I had the money>

Hotshot? Flame OFF dude! Yeah I am enthusiastic about them. I watched them in action and was impressed with their performance. And I don't give a flying dang what your show says, said, or meant to say.

I saw a product that looked good. I posted about it, thinking someone else might like to check it out . I didn't plan for a flame war so what's with the name calling? I'd be willing to bet you didn't even go look at all the videos. Seeing the tracks in action is what convinced me that they would be FUN to use.

No, I don't plan on buying them at the moment and I'll darned well post about anything I want on here. If you don't like what I post..click the back button and go read something else, but keep your derogatory statements about me to yourself. Its guys that make posts like that, that cause threads to get deleted or locked.

All I was doing was having some fun, showing something that
I thought was pretty cool and you come along and start namecalling.

I guess it IS time for this thread to be locked. Sheesh..and it isn't even politics. Its about something a person could even enjoy if they wanted to. Get a life man.

The man made a post about something interesting and out side the box. Some of us thought about other tracked vehicles while we were at it. We looked at all angles. Biggest draw back was cost. This is a good thread.

I think you are just looking for an argument with that arrogant statement. Don't waste your precious time flaming me any more. Get a life. Avoid my threads and we will get along fine. I've asked the moderators to close this thread. I don't have to put up with your arrogance and neither does anyone else.
