I work in the airline industry and general aviation fields both and I use Mouse Milk alot! It should handle just about anything you throw at it. Another penetrant that we use is called "Kroil".
On the rare occasion that the milk doesn't get the job done we use Kroil. Like you said in your post, it can be used for all of the above. Not sure about the eating plastic though! My guess is your right. That's my 2 cents.
I too work on airplanes and helicopters, and Mouse Milk is a must have. It works great on breaking things loose, anything. It also works great on exhaust systems on aircraft that use slip joints, to keep them free to move under heating cooling cycles. It's a great product, I'm never without a bottle.
