Heater...IN and OUT

Ok, well my heater has been acting up, it will be fine one minute, then all the sudden it will go cold. I have to turn it off, then back on for it to be right again. What is going on?

make sure you get the gasket and drain a little coolant out before you replace the thermostat. Spring towards the engine block on the thermostat.
