K&N filter?
Dev93L and FaintSizzle, You are both giving an opinion on a product that you yourself have not tried, so I don't see where your opinion has much merit. It's just that, an opinion. No fact.
I have the Tornado in my truck, and I know for a FACT that it increased my mileage. I have been driving the exact route to work and back for a year. Before Tornado, 1/2 tank per day. After Tornado, 1/3 tank per day. Plain and simple, it works for my truck.
Now, since it worked for me and I am extremely happy with better gas mileage and $$ savings, don't you think I would tell all my friends and family about this? Well of course, and some tried it and others didn't. They thought like you, that they knew it wouldn't work even though they never tried it and I had with FACTUAL results.
Those that did install the Tornado have ALL found an increase in fuel mileage and are very happy with the results. Not all got the increase in mileage that I have, but a few have. The newer car type vehicles that get decent milage already, saw a smaller increase and will take a longer time to recoup the initial investment. It still pays for itself and is gravy after that. Those with older truck type vehicles had the best increase in mileage and are very happy with the Tornado.
Put one in your truck and try it before you say it doesn't work.....
Not calling you a liar, I just don't see how a device like that works.
If someone told you that a plain carboard box would give you 1,000 h.p. if you mounted it to your air intake, and wanted you to pay $1.5 billion for it, you'd still tell people it was a plain box, and nnot a super super horsepower giving machine....right?
Maybe I'm wrong....
Man I know I have not tried it, but to me it'd be a waste of money.

Where can I buy your box? I'd like to order two, one for my truck and one for my mustang! The check will be in the mail asap.
Anyway, I have to throw my 2 cents in on the K&N debate.. and Just for the record, I am "Pro flow"
I spent 2 years bouncing around the country installing Church Steeples and pulled the 28 foot gooseneck with a 2000 f250 powerstroke, 2wd. If there are any of you reading that own a newer powerstroke then you are wasting your money if you havent bought a K&N.
What sold me on the filter was pulling the 36 foot steeples uphill.(yeah, yeah, I know. the steeple was longer than the trailer... the point stuck out over the bed of the truck.)
with the cruise set at 75 I would hit a long upgrade and loose speed untill the cruise did the saftey kickoff deal (disengages if you loose too much speed) I would cuss yell and scream... the next time I did a service on the truck I happened to see the K&N's on the shelf and priced them ... the paper filter for the newer powerstrokes is about $21 while the K&N is $35 ...
no-brainer....paid for itself in one month. what I did not expect was the extra 4 mpg that I got pulling the trailer or the additional horses and torque... after the filter it never again did the "Saftey kickoff". the new filter allowed the engine to pull enough additional air to keep up with the hills.
Since then I have put a K&N in everything I own.. the 80 w/ 302 the 83 w/460 the 89 w/ fi 351 and the 91 S-10
while I have not been able to "Feel" the difference in any of these other vehicles I truly believe that these fillters are worth the money.
