Chip vs. SCMT

Been quite a while since I have posted, but the truck has been keeping me happy for the most part. Problem is, is, them dern diesels keep calling name and I can't go over to the dark side. So I am looking at either chipping my truck or going with the SCMT unit.
My question is which unit is going to compliment the Banks headers the most? I already have the Trans-Command, but don't get tire chirping shifts like the SCMT... I have thought from day one the 4r100 was the weak link in the equation. The headers are great, they really helped, but I would like to either chip it, or go with the Supertuner. Just would like some feedback on the best bang for the buck. Does the SCMT increase the HP and TQ by advancing the timing and fuel like a chip? Any and all feedback welcomed. Thanks, JPS

The chip and the tuner give exactly the same tuning and horsepower. The difference is how that code is delivered to the Ford ECU.

I have a Diablo Delta chip with the Banks Power Pack on the 02 listed below.It's performance is everything I could expect from a chip.

Diablo is winning the horsepower game. They took the Mustang class at the drags this past weekend, and the Lightning and Power Stroke class at the beginning of summer. They took second this past week in the truck class with a Lightning (1st place went to a V8 Ranger which had the weight to horsepower ratio on its side). Another example is the 2003 Cobra. Diablo gets 30 rwhp and 30 ft/lbs of torque on a stock engine with exhaust (x-pipe) and air filter. Same setup with pulley and pulley tune gave an additional 100rwhp at 12psi of boost. A competing chip company? Last I heard after three months of one of their tuners trying to tune an 03 Cobra the owner reported a tiny 3 horsepower gain on the dyno. Needless to say that owner now has a Diablo attached to his computer.

Alright, I'll bite.... any chance this new code would
make it into the SCMT soon for my V10 (rather than just in the
Diablo chip), and would they re-program my recently purchased
SCMT with the new specs?
