On the other threads, some folks used a higher octane to get rid of their knock problem. However, your knock problem might not be fuel issue.
Other threads has success of getting rid of their knocking noise by using a SeaFoam Motor Tune-Up (available at Napa $6) or similar solution. Possible issues with knocking or tapping noise is carbon buildup on other areas in the engine and so they used those solution to get rid of that knocking noise.
I Have tried gas cleaners with no good results.Mine has $%#$ good oil pressure so maybe she's supose to tick a little I change my oil every time it getts too black to read on thr stick I have 1200miles on the rebilt motor and have been changing it at about 400mile intervals with a filter FL1A every other oil change I think it's still cleaning itself out I get 145PSI +-5 Compression I will go to 5,000 miles sevices in about 2 more changes and I have used Valvoline all climate 10-40 sence rebilt I'm going val synpower synthetic..
PS The tick/knock it not affected by gas grade gas /carbon cleaners.I guess it is not anthing to worry about but I would like to be sure sense I can hear the noise 15feet away with it running
