I have a 79 F-250 4x4 with the front Dana 60,and i want to put bud rim's on the front to match the rear, and I have a Dana 60 front from a 85 F350 4x4 dually, and my question is can I get away with just changing the spindle's,and rotor's from the 85 D60 to my 79 D60?By the look's of the 2 Dana 60's everything is the same but the rotor's/hub's.
would you be able to take budd wheel adapters from a mid to late 70s 2wd. the 2wd ones bolt to the rotor through what looks like stud holes on a non budd wheel, and put them on a 4x4 hub the same way, or would the center hole on the budd adapter be too small to fit over the dana 60 hub?
the 2wd doesn't have the hole in the middle for my lockout/hub to come through.im going to have to get this job going.I thought that the 85 D60 rotor's would go on my 79 D60.i just want to make sure, and if anyone could answer this it's you guy's.thank you!!!
