Softer ride

I know that the F350 is a 1 ton truck and will likely always ride pretty stiff.

However, does anyone know of a bolt on kit that will take away some of the harshness of driving, especially when unloaded?

Acouple Hundred pounds in the bed helped mine but I also wanted to keep factory setup for mine.

You might be able to get custom springs made with more (thinner) leaves in the pack.

I've got a 1 ton Dually and this thing rides better than my buddies F-150 and there both the same year. I agree with HPH... some sand bags in the bed will give a little less jolt.

how about some bilstein shocks. They made a huge difference on my truck.

My 99 rides a lot rougher than my buddy's 00, same exact truck...can't figure it out either...

I heard that airbags help alot. One of the places ive seen them are at www.jcw.com

I have the Bilstein's. They do ride better, but they are not all that soft. I've heard good things about the velvet ride shackels.

Last truck was a F250 Light duty, looked like a half ton, it had factory air bags in the back, rode like a catty. Liked that setup a lot, automatically leveled the truck when you put a load in it. All the weight in that system rested on the air bags, had two leafs to keep the axle in line. Have been thinking about doing a similar setup on my 350 as well, Firestone makes bags that are rated to cary 5000lbs per set.
