Ideling change
New to this site and a new Ford owner. Have a 02 f250 SD 5.4 AT. After 3000 miles I developed an ideling problem. After sitting for several hrs would start truck, put in gear, hold foot on brake and truck would idel down and act like it wanted to stall then ideled right back up. Took back to dealer numerous times. Had pcm recalibrated, no luck. Finally found two oxygen sensors bad. So far problem solved. BUT!!! After recalibrating pcm truck now drops aprox. 200 to 250 rpm when shifted into park after driving. Dealer states this is normal as it is purging the evap syatem. Doesn't do it every time. Has anyone else had similar experience? It's more of a nusance than a problem.
