headers for 6.9L ?

hi all, i own an 86 F250 diesel. I was recently talking to a friend of mine about installing headers on a truck. According to him there are no headers made for use on my truck, this true? and if it isn't, what would my options be? Thanks in advance

I never saw anything like that for the 6.9 but my buddy disconnected his exhaust system right after the collecter pipe. dude, no lie, if you stand like 10 feet away, your insides would rumble. yea right after they collect from both sides, disconnect from all the rest.

or...run the collecter pipe into a glasspack and split into stacks coming right outta bed. dont forget your john deere rain-flappers!!!

Headers aren't really a diesel thing. I couldn't tell you why, but with a turbo they would be pointless, but you probably don't have a turbo. I'd try askin around in the diesel forum myself.
