Fordman I use netins DSL.. It is 1000X's better than the dial up, and only $10 more a month plus they come hook it up and give you a free modem. I used the dial up for about 2 years b4 I went to the DSL.

Got to remember availability, roadrunner is not avalible in Inver Grove Heights. Comcast is however. I'm not sure on dsl.

All I have is this POS 20K dialup (yes 20K...thats the fastest I have ever connected) and AOL

I'm hopin to ditch this 7 year old computer and get a new Dell and DSL

For viewing your bandwidth you may want to go to http://www.analogx.com/contents/down...etwork/nsl.htm and download Netstatlive. This handy little utility gives you instant reporting on your connection. The download is pretty small @ 257Kb and when installed is only 286Kb.

Roadrunner cable through Time Warner here. Switched to cable 3.5 years ago and will never go back to dial up. No DSL here.

For technical stuff, I ask my 12 year old son to help out.

Down here, RoadRunner is king! I was a dial-up fool, highest I ever got was 26K bps, now I'm getting 3.9 megabits!
