No. All flex pipe is crap. Where is this pipe being used? Wouldnt it make more sense to have a muffler shop bend you a piece of tubing to permanently remove the flex?
I have about a 3 foot piece of it running from my glasspack to my stack. I would like to have actually pipe in there but my dad said the muffler shop won't put anything on that's not legal. But I guess I could go ask, it wouldn't hurt anything.
Are you running youre emissions equipment? AFAIK, the only problem you would have was if you were removing exhaust components. Even if they didnt want to touch it, they could still bend you the piece desired, and you could install it with some simple exhaust clamps.
The easiest way to find out if they will do it for you is to go ask them. I take a piece of heavy wire and bend it to the shape I need and take that to the shop I choose to bend the pipe for me.

trust me. alot of places will do illegal stuff for you for some extra money. just ask around, im sure you can find someone.
