Have a 2002 EXPLORER XLS. Would like to have DAYTIME DRIVING LIGHTS for safety. Anybody know of a wiring harness or diagram that's available?

Here's a diagram that has the factory DRL in it.



although I think there may be more to it than that diagram shows. Where do the drl's get their power from?


I am thinking why could you not install a foglamp relay to feed the lowbeams anytime the ignition switch is on? You could power the relay from an ignition source, and the relay could tie the red/yellow feeding the switch and the red/black feeding the lowbeams together, making them come on all the time.

I was wrong about the color wire that would feed the homemade relay. It would be the brown wire feeding the headlamp switch power.

Do you guys think this would work below?





I see one flaw already. The lowbeams would stay on when you went to highbeams.
