the defroster fan isn't working. all fuses in box are good. all maxi fuses under hood are good. it has a new switch for the defroster fan and it should be good. is there an inline relay or hidden relay for the defroster fan? i also found a large un marked relay just in front of the pasanger side door but don't know what its for. is there anything else that could be wrong or am i missing something? any help would be apreciated.
thankz for the welcome. i don't even have high speed fan its just no fan at all. could the resistor still be the problem? and if so where would it be located.
Turn on the fan and give the blower motor a good whack with your hand. If that gets the motor going, replace it. If that doesnt work & IF this is wired the same as my 87, you need to check for 12 volts on the orange/black wire at the blower switch & blower resistor etc etc. A wiring diagram would be very helpful. www.helminc.com will sell you the XLNT "Electrical & vacuuum trouble shooting manual" for about 30 bucks. BTW, it's not likely a blower resistor problem.
