November of '99 I was sitting out in the desert out here in So.Cal. My position was to the South West of a small air field. There were numerous aircraft at the field. All military. We were doing a field exercise and my job was to provide air defense for the airfield as I am a Stinger Gunner. Late one night, my teammate and I were scanning the skies when we got a call over the radio. We were out there with five other teams surrounding this airfield. One of the teams radiod in and asked if any other teams had the same image on they're radar screens. I looked at mine and there was a large clutter of what would be "aircraft". One of the other Marines came on the radio and said jokingly, "it's a submarine", because the clutter actually looked like a submarine. Well, we called up to our section leader to ask if he had it on his screen also. He did, and called up higher to confirm. This object(s) was hovering at about 3km to my south west. About ten minutes after the spotting on the radars, two F/A-18 Hornets took off from the airfield. Once they got about 1km out, the hovering mass went from 3km to 10km and off our screen in about two seconds. Nobody ever identified the aircraft, the Hornets never spotted, and nobody heard anything. Don't believe a helicopter could move like that. Even the Ka-50 Hokum. And it sure wasn't a submarine. I just figure, if were here, why can't there be something out there.
I'll bet you were @ Twentynine Palms, right?
I used to spend a lot of time out @ Giant Rock, which is out on the back side of the base. I've seen a lot of things that I can't explain out there.
About 5 or 6 years ago me and my buddy were walking from his house to mine around 10pm. As were walking for some unknown reason, I decided to look to my left into the sky, right (east) as I did that I saw this burst of light. There was this ring of bright white light in the centre, and then going out to sides there were rays of white light. We stood there in the middle of the street just staring at this thing for a few minutes and then it disappeared as fast as it showed up.
I've also seen a low flying triangular shaped object with blue lights at each point. I'm thinking some kind of experimental aircraft, but as far as I know I'm nowhere near a military airfield
Me and a few friend were down in baja mexico near san ignacio for the baja 1000 in 2005 and were out late in his 1970 bronco rockcrawler and my two friends saw a light in the sky which some how freaked out my two friends. i didnot think much of it until i saw i a few minutes later. it looked like a person with a flashlight running down a hill in close proximity although the area was flat. it started to seem like it was moving closer to us but that lasted for a while. then it stopped and a was amazed with this light it stuck around for a while a few minutes and the went into a quick spiral and shot up into the night sky and was gone. i wanted to stay around and see what the f--- was really going on but one of my co drivers wanted to get into the truck and stomp the throttle of the ford cobra motor which is in the truck. I dont know was was more scarry the light or the speed we ran off road by to san ignaceo. Maybe the ET like watching the trophey truck . cant explain that event other than it not from the world we know.
