power door locks

hi to everyone,,i just joined and hope some one can help me. glad to have a van room.. i have a 97 e150 the door lock will not unlock.. it locks but won,t unlock, the pass. side the window won,t go up or down.it will work from the drivers side. could it be switch: thanks for any help you can give me....merry christmas to all......

I would suspect a switch, probably but not necessarily on the side that won't operate. Find some spares at a wrecking yard and substitute.
You can test the motors w 12v, I believe the frame is ground and the two wires are up and down.

check the wires from the door going to the kick panel, probobly pinch..

I had a similar issue with my '00 E-150, but it affects all the switches. My mechanic checked it out and found nothing wrong. Then it strangely fixed itself. Then it came back again.

It would appear that there is some correlation between the problems and cold humid weather. Does this make sense, and if so, what to do about it?

power locks

power lock and windows my lock works from the drivers side. it will lock the doors, but will not unlock them.the windows work from the drivers side main panal and not the [pass side.that was strange yours not working then working again...good luck izz...
