rain forest lost

I would like to point out to everyone, most of the oxygen we breathe comes from the ocean, not green plants on land, which covers 3/4 of the earth. It would be pretty hard to destroy all that.
Also, something like 90% of the fresh water on earth lies under the surface of the earth. They have now found a trench, that would have been filled with fresh water, under the Atlantic ocean that when it burst could have caused a great flood, world wide many years ago. Figure that out.

please clairfy the greta trench thingy, do you have a link to something about this so i can read up on it. i understand the water to oxygen concept, someday maybe we figure out a way to harness the h part of h20. i never heard of the great flood trench thing though, any links would be thankful on my part
Opiewan,
BTW: I like the Ford blue engine compartment and the all white interior.

I can not vouch for any links since I have not entirely researched them, but, try this one:
http://www.khouse.org/articles/techn...80101-146.html
Doing a Yahoo search with these keywords should pull up all you want to know:
atlantic ocean trench flood noah
Just remember, just because it is on a Web page does not mean its true, even if it sounds like all "facts".

i am ashamed to say but i worked for a logging company in northeast washington state, that was thirteen years ago, but back then we were doing all we could to get wood out of the woods, as many a day as we could, no breaks. sure hope they slowed down since i left.
i don't think god will save us from everything. he gave us free will, and if we want to destroy ourselves then we will. if we keep that attutude of "oh well nothing i can do, i will be dead when it happens" then we are in big trouble. and nothing will get fix untill it's too late. look how long it took them to make cleaner burning cars... only took people getting really sick for them so say, "Wow maybe we should do something about this" but it's a little late, still a ton of poluttion. but better. at the rate we are going i bet we will destroy this earth and ourselves in the process. Don't think so? Any one going to ba around to prove me wrong?
don't take the earth so lightly... like anthing it needs maintanance, repair, and TLC to keep it going.

Was this work pace because of a commitment by the company for X amount of wood? Alternatively, was it because they only had X number of days to work and needed to get as much forest out as quick as possible. I have read about this type of work before in the logging industry but never understood the reason.
Something tells me that it had to be a very destructive form of logging and quiet possibly dangerous, is that true.
