#1 the bible isnt a almighty book of things that will happen and wont happen, it is a book of stories told from one generation to the next until someone learned how to write so they could write it down.
god wont let it happen ?

Opie, I think I would respond to your observation thusly......God, created man with a Free Will, he gave us the rules that we should live our lives by(i.e., 10 C's and the golden rule, etc.) and our responsibility to him and to our fellow man. The free will thing means we can accept him or not. IF...he was to intercede and protect each of us from any and all situations that would harm us he would be, ineffect, removing our responsibility to exercise or demonstrate our commitment to the rules that he had given us . Our acceptance into his Kingdom is based entirely on Faith and nothing more. Were he too constantly reveal his power and presence in our lives it would , ultimately , result in US taking him and his power for Granted and would cheapen the value and commitment that it takes for us to meet the Standards that he has set for us to be accepted into his eternal kingdom. It is Man and Man only who murders his own kind for the Pure joy of killing. No other species treats its members in such a fashion. .....s.kuteman

God wont let the whole human population die by lack of oxygen... it is like... people die and get raped by other people, and God has given us the freedome to make our own choices... the Bible does say it... but like this... that there is sin in the world... and people are going to make the choice to sin... and they ask God to forgive them... now, rapping or killing someone is a sin right? well, God gave us that freedome... but he sent His only son to die for us, and forgive us of all our sins... pretty generous huh?

i know about the free will thingy and the dieing on he cross thing, and i also understand that man is the only animal that kills for pleasure .and i not running down religion in general, what i meant was that if this stuff goes on like i said that the greenhouse thing will happen too. god or no god. i didn't mean to get into a religious debate with this here thread, being a not so religious guy myself i can argue science proven facts over miracles of god all day long. the parting of the red sea is one of my favorite topics to argue. i just wanted to say that with man destroying the rain Forest, Co2 levels will rise ice will melt and we all be starring in waterworld 2 in our kids future. didn't mean to offend anyone religious beliefs

...what a vacant thought process for anyone to think some kind of god is responsible for this or sanctions man's inhumanity to man or has any kind of power over the activities of greed. Unfortunately, these people can breed.
