Had a very close call with a stray piece of firewood and my 2000 Expy at 60 mph early today. Fortunately, it didn't hit the hood or windshield but it did take out the headlight and turn assemblies on the left side. I assume the parts from a F150 will fit but what years???? Also, how do you remove these two assemblies from the vehicle? Any idea on cost of replacement parts?? Can anyone recommend a good shop manual for a 2000???
1997 and up will fit your truck. Both f-150 and expedition. You might be able to find one in a junkyard for less than you would brand new. Also, for a shop manual, I would reccomend you get both a Chilton and Haynes manual. Between the 2 of them, most everything is covered.
Replacements can usually be found on ebay, new or used (search: ford expedition headlight / ford expedition corner light) Headlight fits the following:
Could also be a great time to upgrade to the clear corners if you like the look. A lot of folks are doing it so you should be able to pick up the OEM if you prefer at a bargin.compared to dealership.
The headlight & corner will probably set you back $50 combined through ebay.
