What I did with mine was instead of hooking up the parking lights in the headlights.
I hooked the turn signal into it. Or if you wanted to maintain the original, you could probably put a double contact bulb with the proper double socket and have both park & turn signals same place.
For nightor back road driving use the 50 watt bulb, and put on a set of Fog Lamps, they illuminate the road real good.
You don't say if originality is important or not. Uncle bought these @ the local hot rod supplier. Turns out they're just Peterbuilt headlights & can be bought cheaper @ big truck parts suppliers. I did change the socket for the parking lamp from a single to a double contact so it would have turn signals too. They worked out great and look neat too.
Do you have a full pic of yor 37, that sure is a beauty from what I have seen. The color is picture perfect, good choice.
What exactly was it you bought to utilize both the park lamp and signal besides the double socket?
Also where did you get it if you have a name for the supplier?
The '36 belongs to my uncle. He wanted to be "different" and insisted on using a new Nissan 300ZX Turbo V-6 he had. A friend and I just had the task of doing the wiring.
There's a couple of pics in my 95 F150 gallery here or view a few in various stages of completion at: http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../Jimmies%2036/
The light socket I used was a Standard Ignition item, but I no longer have the part # for it. Find a Standard Motor Products distributor and go through their "Wire & Cable" catalog. You'll find it in the "Two Wire Sockets" section.
Here it had just came back from the paint shop, headlights not properly adjusted yet. Makes it look a little ****-eyed!

That is one beautifull Truck, its got to be one of the best looking Trucks Henry built, and your Uncle brought out the beauty in it.
Thanks for sharing it with us here, hope you don't mind but its going in my pic album.
He's real proud of it, and he should be. This is no trailer queen either. He's just as likely to drive it to Wally World or Mickey-D's as he is to the cruise-in. At 80 years old he likes the "chick magnet" thing going on!
If you're going to put it in your album I'll get you some better pictures, some without the junk car background!
