Air bag warning light

I have a 1993 econoline van and my air bag light keeps flashing. The sequence is 1 long, then 2 quick flashes, then it repeats. Where can I find out what the potential problem is without having to pay some for running a diagnostic test?

i have the same problem. 93 E150. the problem is in the steering column.there are 5/6 wires depending if you have cruise. the wires looks like computer wires(flat). hard to replaced because they are soldered in.
