how to test RAB valve?
I have a 1988 F-150 4X4 lately I have been having problems with the brakes locking up and the antilock light and brake lights would come on. Today I finally got it to act up again and I had a chance to pull the trouble codes. it spit out code 4. my manual states that to be "Open or shorted valve switch or harness" It list a series of tests to check for wiring problems. I am having a little difficulty figuring out what they intend for me to do. I have carried out the test on the component by testing the ohms between pins 2 & 3 and 2 pin & ground like the book says. it states that both should be >10,000 ohms. if they are not in this value it says to replace RAB valve. I don't get a reading on either. I want to be sure that I am doing this right so could someone please help me out with these?
