I would like to examine the evidence that indicates man was created from dust, and women from man's rib. No really, you just said that you find this "evidence" compelling. What's that you say? What? There's nothing to examine? Really? Oh, it's all in the bible you say...

..zilla you mentioned jury and evidence. You weighed the evidence and choose creationalism.

What evidence -- are you just talking mans history or history of all genera?

In oder for one to be true the other has to be false...process of elimination.

McCrusty,
While I appreciate you answering all of your questions directed at me for me, I'd like to take the chance to actually answer them myself. Unfortunately, you will likely just dismiss it all as propaganda without bothering to examine the evidence.
For a period of about three years, I went on a soul-searching journey in search of the truth. Went from a catholic as a child, to agnostic as a young adult, to finally becoming a born again Christian. As an agnostic, events in my life pushed me into a corner where I had to decide wheather I believed in God, and, if I did, what I believed about the scriptures- and based on my decision, I had to act. Well, as I've stated before, Christianity is not politically correct, especially with the media, so if you want to examine the evidence, you must seek it out. The internet is a good resource for this. Evidence that influenced me began with the numerous problems I found with evolution, as detailed in my posts on this thread. Next, try reading, as another member posted on another thread, "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. Then do a search for turn of the century mathmetician, Ivan Panin, and his work, on the net. Read, "Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell, and "More Than a Carpenter" also by Josh McDowell. (More Than a Carpenter is somewhat of a much abbreviated version of Evidence That Demands a Verdict if you want to start there)
Compare (non-Judeo-Christian) historical accounts of biblical events, and archeological evidence to match. You have, for instance, a time line found in one of the Great Pyramids that shows the most significant historical events exactly at the time of Christ's birth, and the second 33 years later, when he was crucified. Now this time line was created by the Egyptians thousands of years before the birth of Christ, as while they describe these two "great events" they don't quite say what they are.
Last, but not least, the evidence that most affected my mind, are the endless fullfilled ancient prophecies found in the biblical text.
Consider Joseph being captured and sold to the Egyptians as a slave. He elevates himself to being a servant in Pharoah's house, interpreting dreams, and, eventually, elevated to the status of a governor of sorts, when he predicts the seven years of drought and seven of prosperity based on Pharoah's dreams. We know this is not a fairy tale, because the Egyptians record the same history, and, as a result of the Hebrew Joseph's predictions, they build silos and storehouses on an unprecidented scale, stockpiling and storing grain on a massive level during the seven years of prosperity, in preparation for the drought. This pays off when the drought comes, when Egypt, one of the most powerful nations on earth at the time, grows in power as the surrounding nations trade with Egypt for food over the next seven years.
Egypt is used again when forced to release its entire work force, the Hebrew slaves, (gifted with significant amounts of Egyptian gold) when Moses is used as God's intermediary. What do you suppose was the effect on Egypt's economy with such a great loss? Why would the most powerful nation on earth (and, no doubt, proudest) admit to such a historical event if it did not occur?

Compare the biblical texts in these events to the historical documentation of non-Judeo Christian historians of the time such as Philo, Josephus, Eusebius, and the Midrash ancient historians.
There are endless prophecies in the biblical text that came hundreds, if not thousands of years before their fullfillment, and, of particular interest to me, are the ones dealing with the coming of, life of, and passing of Christ.
Take, for instance, just the 22 Psalm alone. Here, we have prophecied, almost a thousand years before, Christ's exact words upon the cross- "Eli, Eli, lama sabatch thani"; the suffering of Christ; the taunting of him by the crowds to call upon God to save him; his bones being out of joint at the crucifixion, but not one broken*; the piercing of his hands and feet*; the casting of lots for the dividing of his garments; and basically a graphic description of the cruxifiction.
This takes on a special meaning when examined closer, when you consider that crucifixion was not a form of execution at that time, nor would it be or come to exist for almost a thousand years. Furthermore, it was never a form of execution for the Jews, but of the Romans.
Go back to my second post in this thread to read more details of prophecy concerning Christ.

I can hardly come close to describing all of this evidence on a message board, but here, then, is a small portion.

There are even within System diffferences such as the Cal State System and the University of California System.

You can't use a single adjective like "liberal" or conservative describe a Person. When I look to see what Mr. Webster or the American Heritage Dictionary for Liberal and Conservative, I don't see a "vulgar" foot note.

I be fairly conservative on how I adjust the timing or choice of cam on my Mustang for street use for durability and longevity. But on the Drag Strip I'd be so liberal I'd be on the bleeding edge.

Why is that only liberals have a problem with the liberal/conservative classifications and have some confusion as to what each means?

I merely suggested you take a look at a dictionary and put some thought into the meanings. I don't go around pigeon holing and stereotyping people. Assuming a Democrat is a liberal and a Republican is a conservative is very simple. Conservatives of the 2 parties and liberals of the 2 parties actually have more in comon than do moderates in the 2 parties. Too bad the Whig and No-Nothing Parties died out...I'm hoping these 2 do in the near future.

Since you insist that I'm a liberal, I'm probably your worst nightmare then because I'm a gun toting liberal. Wait a minute, so was TJ and Ben.

But accurate 95% of the time. Yes, I realize there are exceptions to every rule.
