I unfortunately have a crappy set of headers on my truck. I am looking to replace them and wonder if anybody has used Dynomax headers and are they worth it? I would be getting ceramic coated. I won't go back to manifolds, this thing needs to has to flow.
Thanks
Nick
I have Dynomax headers on my 77 460. They aren't coated, but they fit good and I have never had a problem with leaks. They are about 3 yrs old now.

lxman your 77 wouldnt happen to be a 4wd would it? i am looking for headers and i cant find any besides the overpriced LandL s or Hedmans iv searched through dynomax and hooker and they dont seem to make them for the 70s f150 4wd or am i missing something.
and Nzirbel i have a set of dynomax headers on my 66 F100 2wd 352 they are great headers my only concern with them is that if my starter goes out it will be h#ll getting it replaced as the header and starter were a pain in the hind getting in place, and tho i said they are great headers i wasnt to happy grinding so much on my clutch linkage or does this happen with every header?
Buy a set of L&L's. They may be a little pricey, but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. The headers fit great and it will be the last set of headers that you buy for the truck.

I have to agree. I put a set of L and L fenderwell exit headers on my truck and they are very high quality.
I have a set of ceramic coated Dynomax on my '73 F100 2wd 390 4spd. I've had them for about a year and am very happy with them. Good fit, no leaks and a lifetime warranty that covers rust. The header does have to be completely unbolted to remove the starter - but it's not too tough (put in a heat shield or starter wrap to protect your starter). The clutch linkage was rubbing on the collector a little, so I put a spring up to the bell housing and all is well... No beating, cutting or grinding to get them to fit.
4star i have a 460, to everybody else i talked to the fellars at LandL the otherday and to get the fenderwell exits i want i need a 3-4 inch susp lift plus i really cant afford to pay $480 right now so i want to get a set set of cheapo hooker or dynomax for now.
Just to reiterate Dynomax are great headers.
Get a set of Hooker Super Comps. I have a set of these on my highboy. They have been on for about 5 years now and I have no complaints about them other than they are not ceramic coated.
