I was just watchin TV, and lo an behold, there is a Dixie Chicks video, Sin Wagon. It made me think about how much I hate the dixie chicks. They are so hypocritical. They have a song about killing a guy named Earl, and then they criticize Toby Keith for his song "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" for talkin about puttin a boot in terrorists ***. And if thats not bad enough, they rip on our president. Even still, they ripped on him yet again over seas. I hate them so much. I destroyed the CD of theirs I had, and I turn off the radio every time one of their songs comes on. Sorry about my rant, but it needed to be said.
I hate em too. A couple years ago I met them when they crossed the border. Gave me an autographed picture, which I promptly burned after the anti Bush thing!
Logic Guys Please !! They are just three women that sing and one spoke her mind about Bush basically and to be "Career Correct" should have NOT. But the music is good and my 2 1/2 yr old grandaugther loves to sing along so that helps make it easier to tolerate an opposing political opinion.
Do I agree with what Natalie said ? Not no But HELL NO !!!!!!
there have been a few long posts, in different forums, that I remember.if people keep talking about them, I'm gonna have to buy their CD to see what the hype is all about

No matter what you think of them, the song “travelin soldier” is a good one and very representative of that time…in American history,
actually i have heard that the dixie chicks are trying to get clearance to go to Guantanemo Bay ( sp) to do a moral concert for the captured al-quieda members and are even thinking of doing a special concert for the captured ones in iraq
if listening to an hour of Dixie Chicks music dont make em give up their secrets nothing will
( befor eya bash me for this lol IM a bigtime country music fan just have no use for the ditzy chicks anymore)
everybody and i repeat everybody has the right to voice there opinion on any goverment actions. that is in the bill of rights in case you didnt know. although being in england when they did it wasnt the proper place to voice it, you have to respect the bill of rights that give them the right to have an opinion, and as far as destroying the cd you already bought and paid for, what sense does that make. I for one still listen to the chicks. and the media blows up everything anyway by asking hollywood stars and music stars there opinions and then broadcasts it to the world bashing the artist they asked the opinion of. It is all a big circus. so burn your pictures smash your cds and whatever else that you have to do to make yourself feel bigger and better. I think it is foolhardy at the least to destroy your own stuff. Oh and my opinion of the whole thing is, we need our *** back here in the usa taking care of our problems, instead of messing with everyone elses problems. why do they hate us in the first place ? because we stick our nose in everything trying to make the world a better place. HOGWASH ! no matter what you say it comes down to oil. IF we want the oil we should just go and take it the first time. IRAN and IRAq would have never come to power in the first place if it wasnt for the USA sticking there nose into everything. I do support my troops over there, dont get me wrong about that, several of my friends children are over there right now. And being from a Military family all my life, 32 years marines, 8 years army and my brothers have both served also i defintly support my country, but bashing someone for using the very rights so many have paid their life for is just backwoods stupied.

I completely agree. Why dislike their music for Natilies big mouth when there is a better reason to dislike them. Their music stinks. It's too girl powered saying girls are strong and girls can do anything. Doesn't everyone know that by now? Why do we have to hear over and over that women can do anything a man can do? Are we still going through women's lib? The song about killing Earl made me lose respect for them. The song was not a funny poke about killing a wife beater. I dunno about everyone else, but I take songs about killing another person seriously, same as I take songs about men battering their wives seriously. Get some class Dixie Chicks. Geez!

I guess then youre not a fan of Martina Mc Bride?
In the song "Independence Day" she says " I dont know if its right or its wrong, but maybe its the only way. Talk about your revolution, its Independence Day"
when in a video she shows an abusive husband being killed by lighting the whole house on fire with him in it after the abusive husband passes out or falls asleep.
In her live shows she sometimes would pander to the girls in the audience by singing " blow the scum away" as opposed to" throw the stone away" didnt belive that one til i saw her live and perform it that way
