I think that that when this new cummins makes its debut in mid-04' it is really going to turn some heads. It is the QUIETIST Cummins that they have ever produced . That engine and its particularily obnoxious loud mechanical sounds was one of my major problems with the dodge. As far as the quality issue is concerned I believe that Dodge is Just as well made as Ford. A few will always keep dragging the quality issue from 1980 or whenever but that isn't the case today. Fact is, it is Ford who has been having Major problems with their 6.0 , Not Dodge. If, what I have been hearing IS TRUE, the whole sale value of an '03, 6.0 diesel truck is really in the crapper because NOBODY wants to take achance and buy a used truck that had such well documented problems. Whose Fault is That??? the Customer, I don't think so , s.kuteman
You hit the nail on the head with the 03 Ford 6.0 engine. That is how my post started. Ford had better stand up and take ownership of this problem and quit the practice of slapping lipstick on a pig and shoving out the door. There are a whole lot of folks ticked off with the products they spent thousands on. Before you know it they will all be driving Nissans God forbid.
