I am geeting ready to recieve my F-350 real soon I am looking at purchasing a warranty online through 1sourcewarranty has anyone had some experience with this company and have any advice on some diffrent warranty companys.
In my experiences selling vehicles and warranties I would not suggest anything other then a Ford Extended Service Plan Warranty. This doesn't mean that you can't get a great deal on a warranty just do some research. Good Luck.
A good idea is to purchase one through your insurance company, they will call it a mechanical breakdown policy or something similar. They will usually have a $50-100 deductible and will cover your vehicle far past the manufacturer's warranty.
I have an extended warranty from 1sourcewarranty on my wifes 98 Grand Cherokee and I would reccomend it. It definately paid for itself. The dealer at first was skeptical, but even they were pleased because the warranty company pays the dealer by credit card. I also used a local shop and they had no complaints about getting paid.
One downside was when the A/C compressor had to be replaced the shop had to wait for a replacement (which was a rebuilt unit, with a warranty) to be shipped to them from 1sourcewarranty.
The big caveat is that they don't pay for diagnosis of the problem, but the majority of the time the dealer accepted whatever inflated price they charged the warranty company and didn't charge me.
Your safest bets are the Ford and AAA warranties. I have worked at various dealerships in service departments and generally they rot or go out of business before the warranty period is up. If it has a RI address and phone number, you better think twice.

The problem with these "after-market" warranties is the frequency with which they go out of business. Actually , the company itself stays around, it's the underwriter they use that goes belly up. Once your underwriter is bankrupt, your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. And it happens a lot. My advice: if you're not going to get a Ford warranty, you're probably better off saving your money. Yeah, the after-markets are a little cheaper to buy, but what have you saved if the company behind it disappears? NO ONE has ever lost a dime on a Ford warranty, and it's good at every Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealer in North America.
