whay happens if you put your truck in 4wd low, and dont lock the manual hubs? and pull a stump or bush while on dry pavment?

nothing....technically you are still in 2-wheel....even if they were locked they would more than likely be ok. the only time really that you would need to worry about messing anything up is if you turn your wheel while still on pavement. i give my truck hell in mud with the wheel at full lock so the side lugs will bite better and I have never broken a joint/axle...just when you bind the axle will you have problems.

When going around a turn EVERY tire spins at a different speed. The front is going faster than the rear and the outside is going fatster than the inside. Unless you are on snow or ice, i wouldn't engage 4hi or lo on pavement. And is you are shifting after you hit the side road with snow and ice, make sure you let off the gas so none of the tires are spinning fatsr than the others. You dont want the front tires to be going 25 and the trnsfer case spinning at 45 when it tries to lock up.
